With so many different colors and textures, there is also a hardscaping option that will fit into your current room design. Stone hardscaping, my personal favorite, will not only raise the value of your home but it will give a sparkly due to the stones natural properties. Hardscaping now also comes in porcelain! A porcelain hardscaping option is going to give you more or less the same look as the stone but with less maintenance. 

A new trend we are loving is wood porcelain around a fireplace. Giving a shiplap look, this is a fun modern twist on a fireplace that is edgy yet a subtle way to introduce a texture into the room. Like hardscaping, this option comes in so many different colors, shapes, and textures. 

The oldest yet most classic are mosaics for your fireplace surround. Talking about choices, well when it comes to mosaics, it may get overwhelming! There are thousands of options not only with color but with material as well. This sounds scary but once you start looking, you will quickly know what you taste is. Our favorite here at LMP Home are herringbones for a fireplace. Not only timeless, but so elegant and simple it will not be over powering and it is hard to not love it forever!
