Wondering where to put accent tile in your shower or if you even should? Accent Tile is your opportunity to take your design to the next level and create a truly personal aesthetic in your shower! 

Accent Tile can be the main focal point in your shower just like you see in the image above. For this client, we choose the design of doing an entire feature wall with the accent tile she picked out. We then paired this with white ceramic for the rest of the walls to keep the design clean and elegant.  Another popular way to add accent tile is to picture frame around your fixtures. This will a more elegant traditional look by having the mosaic bordered by a pencil or chairrail. Then we come to my favorite way to add an accent! Inside the the niche and the entire floor! Adding the accents this way makes whatever you choose as the accent be there without it becoming overwhelming. (please make sure if you want to do this, you are using an accent tile that is suitable for shower floors!) 

Because there is no set way of how to do this, it really comes down to personal perference and design! You can create whatever shape, size, how much, or how little accent tile you want in the shower. Just as another example, we had someone do a waterfall effect, where she took the accent mosaic from the top of one wall going down to the floor in a stripe, and bled the mosaic right into the entire floor. This made the shower look larger and created a beautiful spa like effect! 

Accent tile can be anything. From mosaics to ceramic patterned tiles, but because both of these change so often and more and more designs are released, they never go out of style and accent tiles become timeless to your design. With all the different possible layouts and options, it is a way to truly create a unique space. 

Another great thing about accents is this is an amazing way to use a mosaic you may have fallen in love with on a budget!
